Head Detail of 'African Fish Eagle' - 2001 - Private Sale

“I like the immediacy of working in either wax or clay. When making a sculpture I like to have the contrast of energetic, quickly worked areas, showing finger and thumb marks, with areas that are modelled in detail. I do think it is important for the viewer’s imagination to fill in some of the details.”
